A unique complex polymeric resin was developed in 1962, as the result of a NASA project in which over 300 coatings and compounds from the world's leading companies were tested and benchmarked to find the most durable and effective substance to protect NASA space vehicles from the extreme environments they would encounter - from ultra-high UV in space, to salt water splash-downs.
This unique nylonic polymer formula was named Nyalic® and was applied to the command and moon landing modules, and the lunar rovers, on the Apollo moon missions. The product was subsequently deployed on US military aircraft and vessels. Eventually released to the market, Nyalic® has been available in Australia for over 15 years. It is now used on Australian Customs, and NSW , Vic and Qld police and fisheries vessels, as well as a multitude of commercial and private vessels, buildings, mining, aviation and agricultural equipment, etc. |
